Wheres about in Randolph. That is where I hunt exclusivley. Can't imagine a place in Randolph County (especially 1000 acres) that isn't already hunted if the property owner allows it.

Anyhow, ground is flat with lots of open fields speckled with patches of woods typically in the 20-50 acre size. It is a 1 antlerless deer county (meaning does are not overly abundant). Not known for producing deer in the Hoosier Record Buck class. Guys typically shoot on sight killing a lot of young bucks.

This year, we have had a difficult time even seeing deer. Local checkin station is well below the normal average.

Just be prepared to drop some cash. Indiana has some rediculous out of state license fees.

You will have to buy a general hunting license that costs about $90. Then you buy an archery tag for $140. The bonus archery tag is another $140. The firearm tag will set you back another $140. The bonus doe tag is cheap, only $25.00. The muzzloader tag will cost you another $140. So pick you season well.

Do you know the brother-in-laws name. Names in Randolph are kinda regional and that alone might clue me in on where you have access to.
