I saw that last week. It's crazy but I'm glad I shot a doe in my unit it gives me a buck tag for next year.

My unit (77M) has been on the watch list for 2 years now and its still Herd Control. I don't expect it to be EAB next year either.

In fact id be willing to bet that map will be slightly altered after the final tally of all the deer kills come in.

Only time will tell.

Im very interested in seeing the deer structure for next year.

I aint too worried about it...it don't matter what season you get a doe this year...it will qualify you for next year....actualy kind stupid if ya ask me......at least the road kills get cleaned up fast...lol

At the rate they're going pretty soon we'll be back to sending in for a doe tag. I think they could do away with the earn a buck for awhile. The way the wolves and bear are populating we won't have to worry about thinning the deer herd.

The map has been out before the guns season numbers came in, things will change big time! I too think we'll be back to the hunters choice, sending in for Doe tags!

I've seen this before...i hunt in unit 13, and the dnr has had us under this watch for the past 3 years..never happens. I honestly think they do this on purpose to get the hunters to focus on the does or more like 'scare' them into taking a doe. What they need to do is focus more on the bear and wolf population. Why should a guy have to be on the list 7-9 years to get a bear permit??

I've gotten a bear kill tag in 5 years and have 3 years in on my next one.
