Pre-Christmas Break
Yesterday was the beginning of the shotgun seasons for Iowa. We cannot use a bow until after the shotgun seasons end (December 23rd). I hunted with a shotgun yesterday but didn't get a shot at any. This morning I slept in for the first time in a long time. Then, when I got up, it gave me a chance to reflect on my season so far.
Even though my season was disrupted by coyotes, neighbors, and neighbors dogs, and the constant worry about not having a job, I was out in nature and had many good sits with good weather. For this I am thankful.
Those of you that have had crappy seasons too, I would suggest that you find the good experiences from your hunts and remember those things and let the badfade away. You'll be much happier and healthier.
