There's a forum just for game cams, (Trail Cameras). I'd ask over there or read there, it might offer up more info.

Capture

Bought my first one last month, and have already purchased another one. A great camera IMO.

I voted the Scoutguard because it's $30 less than the Capture in IR. Both are great cameras though.

I have both the Capture IR and Flash models, and prefer the flash. The IR only has a range of 25 feet, while the flash can reach out to 50. I have never had any problems withthe flashscaring deer from any model either.

Scoutguard hands down. A buddy just did a review comparing a $220 Scoutguard to a $400 Cuddeback...and the scoutguard was as good or better in EVERY category, except having a higher price tag....I'll see if I can find the pics to show, the IR was much more dispersed on the scoutguard, no more tunnel vision night pics.

Im not familiar with the cheaper Cuddebacks.

Covert Cameras are some pretty cool little cameras too. They started out the same as Scoutguard but have a different model out now, which is the one I'll be trying out this winter, hopefully.

Cuddeback don't make a 400.00 dollar camera anymore. The Captures are 200.00 or so.

This one was bought for $400.

Are they the same models? Seems to me, I would be extremely pissed if I already bought several at the previous price, andall they did was cut the price for the same or even better models. None the less, cool to see they are making more affordable ones now.
