Default If you could change one thing......

If you could change one thing from this season, wether it was a piece of equipmentor a lost shot opportunity or not hunting enough etc....you get the point. What would it be? Personally I wish I had videotaped a bit more.

I should have gotten rid of my wrist sling prior to the start of hunting season. I did cut it off with my hunting knife right after it cost me a shot at a buck.

I'd hunt my own land if I had it.

This coming season I'm going to look for a call for calling does. I love my grunt call but I want a good doe call. I've had no luck with a can call. Didn't alarm or scare deer, they just flat out ignore it!? [>:]

Well stand time wasn't something I was short on. I would like to have one encounter back, and knowledge of a spot about 3 weeks sooner.

One thing?

I wish I didn't let one of my main farms slip away due to leasing.

Fixing it? Let's just say it won't be leased next year and Ill again have another great spot to hunt.

I wish I could send 220,000 people from PA to Ohio for the entire season........

Other than that ,there honestly isn't a single thing I would change about this season that would/could make it a better or more successful one. No missed opportunities or anything "One thing" would change for the better.
I had a pretty darn blessed season.

Oh wait I change my mind!........I would hunt a different tree the first night at "jmbuckhunter's place in Illinois, but that would have just been to kill a BIGGER buck than I wound up killing so that's probably just being greedy.

Nothing I PERSONALLY would have done differently, but I would have had that branch NOT snap under my foot as I was on full draw of the bull elk. And if that didn't work, then I would have the giant bull elk WALK thru my shooting window instead of run.
