Default Rattled him in.......

and dropped him!! Score for Team 4!
The day before gun season, and about 9 AM, I was getting desperate.
I'm in a little finger connecting some big woods, CRP fields on both sides.
I decided to smack the rattle bag and see if something was bedded in the fields in front of me.
Ten minutes go by, and nothing. Then I glance BEHIND me and this buck is coming. He's just walking but he's 30 yards and closing fast!

I can't move or I'm busted. I wait until he is behind the tree I'm sitting in ( I sit facing the tree), then slowly grab the bow and hook the release. I peek around thetree and he's standing there at 10 yards, looking for the fight!
My heart hasnow moved to my throat, andmy knees are almost knocking together!! SNAP OUT OF IT!!!
He starts walking again and I pull back and shoot.
I drilled him, he runs about 30 yards, stops and fallls.
It all happened so fast, I could'nt believe it.

Hewasa big boy, 9 points with a split G2 and a crabclaw. One browtine broken off. And my second double throat patch in 2 years. What a great experience and another buck going to the taxi.
