Anyone ever done this? I filled my 1 and only tag this past weekend with my ML, so now my hunting season is over even tho our bow season runs thru December 31. I was thinking about going out a few times and sitting in some areas that I have always thought about puting a stand, just to see if I see anything, and maybe take the camera.

I have never done it, here in Jersey i can shoot unlimited does, so i always have a reason to carry my bow. If i was in a situation like yours though, i would go out when i had free time to scout and see what came by. It cant hurt and it keeps you in the woods.

I'm in the same boat you're in (unlimited does). So I can take my bow and shoot if I get frisky.
I've also had a good buck come by ......and me with no tag for him.
That wasn't frustrating, really (I mean....if you're tagged out....hasn't it been a pretty good year, anyways?). I ended up taking him the next year anyways! He walked by me on our closer of '06.....and I killed him in Nov. of '07.
