I wish the I40s took better pics at night, but is this what I think it is? I don't think its broken off. The earliest I've ever had pics of a buck that had shed is December 8th.
I'm leaving for Saskatchewan in the morning and should be gone around 10 days or so. The taxi should have the euro mount done when I get back. I promise I'll get it done then.... O Captain my Captain!!!!
LOL! until his last years post, I had no idea bucks shed earlier than Late Jan/Feb-March. Never really thought about it. Heck, I saw a 6 pointer with both sides still in hard antler two turkey seasons ago in early April.

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'
I've heard of deer dropping antlers here in PA during our gun season which starts tomorrow. It could have very well dropped his antler already. So many variables apply.
Very very possible Dan. 1st week of December or the last week of November I saw a buck with both sides already gone 2 years ago. I was shocked!! I've also talked with guys who ML hunt here In Mn (December 1st to December 15th) and they've shot bucks and later went to drag them out and off came one of the antler's. I know If I get a buck he will be handled with care!!

Yep Steve, over the years I've seen a number of bucks while late season hunting here in WI that have dropped by mid-December. I'm always extremely careful and check every "doe" out closely before sending an arrow on its way during the late season.
