Default What to look for in hunting land.

If you were going to lease hunting land or say buy land for hunting. What would you look for. What food supply water terrain what?????

I am going to start looking for some land but not sure what i should really want or no want.

DO deer really like real rough terrain. I looked at some land last year it was real rough. Due to strip mining. Had 5 to 20 foot hills every 50 to 100 feet. do they like that stuff.

I'd look for deer . Some times when the terrain is rough with hills it funnels them through areas . I hunt one area that is like that and it has several deep ridges. I can hunt them from the top and still be on the ground but it is like I'm in a tree stand

ya thats what i was thinking. The land was a good area for protection from tresspassers. There are four lots the outer two are lease. Then inter two where the ones i looked at. All of them had ponds running the road with driveaways cut through them. One way in one way out
