I have had my share of crazy things this season and have yet to hook up with a shooter. I climbed an old wooden stand and fell from ~3 feet and severly sprained my ankle on the base of my tree. I planned a sat. morning hunt for 3 hours in my head and went to the spot and forgot my bow. Don't ask how this could happen. I ran over my gun in WV yesterday with a quad. I have yet to see a shooter in 3 states MI, PA, and WV while hunting. I was hunting a perfect spot in WV on the opener of gun and could not understand why I was not seeing any deer so I walked the ridge and located about 200#s of corn near a stand with a heard of deer making pigs of themselves. My dad however had this season. He is shooting a new gun. Opener in WV, a shooter walked up 50-70 yards and he missed it 3 times with a 7mm. Very next day, the same deer walked down the same path and he missed it 2 more times before it ran 30 yds from him and he dropped it in the heart. The gun is on so he does not know what he was doing wrong. Anyone else having a season like mine?
