Summit offers a large variety. I personally own the Viper and love it. Its a very comfortable stand and feels very safe and secure. Runs you about $260 (cabela's price). good luck!

I just gota Gorilla Greyback. I paid $150 for it. It's not the lightest climber ever made, i think it's around 27lbs but it's really comfortable and for the price you can't beat it.

Maybe you can ask for a gift certificate to Cabelas or Bass Proand then you could throw in a few bucks on your own and get a good one? I'd also vote for the Viper, I've seen them on sale for $199 at times. Other good ones are going to be in that price range. If you buy a cheap one, I think you might regret it?

Look at the Gorilla. I've hunted out of them and they are a great climber for the money.

Check ebay. If you are willing to wait and watch a few you can get a good deal. I bought a new, Lone Wolf Sit and Climb for $180. Best place to buy if you are on a budget.

The summit viper is also available in a steel model (only difference I believe is the material/weight). Not sure....butI think it's about $169. Solid stand.

Rob will love this....

I'd also look at the 'Ol Man line. The steel version is about $160 (I think)....and the composite (if I'm not mistaken it's a comosite material)....is around $200.

Equalizer makes a stand I wanna check out, too.....but I don't know the price point.

Good luck.
