Default Vermont deer down!

He may not be very big but hes a trophy to me. I got up this morning around 5:30 got all dressed and headed out. I got into my stand at around 6:15. It was just a prefect day no wind at all. Just a great day to be in the woods. I had completly forgotten my cell phone and a watch so i had no idea what time it was i thought i had only been in the stand about a hour or so when iheard somethin walking threw the woods I figured it was another dang squirrel. To my supriseI looked over and I saw a deer out at about 80 yards. I pulled up my scope and every time i tried to see his antlers he would go behind a tree. I finally got a clear veiw and relized he was at least a 4 pointer. I found a good spot that would give me a good shot and i waited for him to get there when he did i put a great shot on him. Hit him right behind the shoulder. He went down after 60 yards. Hes not a monster but hes a trophy to me my biggest deer to date. 4 pointer 118 lbs. Ive had a great year got 2 deer with my bow and this one with my rifle. That makes 3 deer in one year that doesnt happen here in vermont very often. It was just my lucky year thanks for all the help guys. I learn so much from you. I didnt get him with my bow. I figure I would post here though because you guys have taught me alot about hunting. And im proud of him. Heres the befor and after picture

Hey, nice going and congrats on your biggest buck to date. Each deer I have ever shot has been different and exciting. Sounds like you have a few stories in just one year!

Where in VT? I grew up hunting just south of Rutland in the Clarendon and Shrewsbury areas. Congrats, 3 deer in a year is quite an accomplishment in VT.
