Enlighten us.

What do you know, that the rest of us should ?
Nothing! I haven't experienced the rut, so I'm in no position to speak on the post rut.Sometimes you have to laugh (which I sometimes did) to keep from crying.

Hunting season will be over before your bucks heard back up together.

The buck I killed last year on Dec. 18th was in a bachelor group of 3. They were hitting a honeysuckle thickit hard.

Enlighten us.

What do you know, that the rest of us should ?

What food sources, aside from obvious crops, should we look for ?

How do travel patterns differ from summer ?

I'm trying to key in on a specific deer. I learn something new about him almost everytime I hunt him(alot of guessing, though). I dont know if I will seal the deal during the rut, so I want to get my game plan in order for post rut.

Heck, I JUST learned that he is bedding over 1/2mile from where I thought he was(summer bedding). Hense why I saw him in areas that I hadnt planned on seeing him.
Thats the case with Freak Daddy. He is over 1/2 a mile form where my buddy got pics of him all summer long. Just plain vanished around October until i saw him in my hay field. As for the groups, i dont have much experience with it to give you a good answer.

I don't see bachelor groups of bucks until spring, after their antlers fall off. When they are still breeding, sometimes until January or later, they are not the best of friends.
