VERY windy, but rut coming in - Would you hunt today?
It's 60 degrees here in NC, and the wind is blowing 15 mph w/gusts to 30 mph. 2 buddies hunted yesterday (much less wind), and said they saw (and shot) bucks trailing does...so it sounds like the rut is here.
I've always been told that deer won't move in the wind.
I've also always been told to hunt all day during the rut.

What would you do???
I had a buck come in with 30mph winds Thursday but he wasn't a shooter. The key is you are hunting the rut and the deer are less worried about their own safety and more worried on getting some action with a hot doe. 15mph shouldn't be much of a factor, if it was 30-40 I would say stay in.
