Default I can't help it!!

I was just looking at the weather radar. It shows a large area of no rain coming shortly, and should last until the evening "I think". I could be wrong because after all, we ARE talking about the weather!I have this guilt feeling I'm experiencing because I'm not in my stand and it's not raining. I'm invisioning a deer walking by my stand while I'm not there.
This hunting thing is more addicting than any drug that I'm aware of. I can't sit here typing like I'm doing with a good conscience (sp). I'm going into battle fellows. Hell, I'll even kill a doe if I get the chance. I'll report back later and let you knowif I made the right decision. I just can't help it!!!

I'm going in a couple hours, myself. I wouldn't shoot a doe right now, though, if she was biting my kid.

That was good Jeff.I probably won't really take a doe if given the chance. It's too warmfor a long drag just for a doe. I'm out the door.

good luck!!! no such chance here...im about dead in the center of the mess got a small break but its starting now and clouds are darker than dark..radar shows were about to get back into heavier constant rains..and dont look like its gunna end any time soon..

08 was an odd season....i gave it my all and put a good number of hours on stand....i had another fun season....im safe and sound...and even seen some deer, and passed a legal buck for the first time ever...a 2.5yo 4pt half rack....still do not regret my decision....i will be somewhat upset when someone(other than me ) whacks him in rifle season....hopefully his other side got busted off...id LOVE to see him next season....

im still waiting for the rut its like a bad movie...you sit there and wait and wait for the good part....but it never comes...i got a feeling that opening morning of rifle season is gunna be a day to be in the woods, weather pending...

Well, I must say that weatherradar was right on the money! I got in by 12:30PM and sat until 4:30PM, andsaw NOTHING as usual. That's when it started to POUR!!!

EI I thought about you while I was out there. I made th eright decision to go. BEAUTIFUL skies for the most part. Windy....but there were periods of stunning beauty. Really cool colorations in the sky, tomight....and it was oddly "light" even when I walked out.

I had 3 BB's come in together at 4:30.....and thirty minutes later I had a doe and her fawn (I assume it ws hers) come in.

All in bow range....but I never reached for it. Really cool sit.

Yes Jeff, you described the way it was exactly, except you saw deer and I didn't. At least we got out. This was the last day of Pa's early season. I'll give it hell when the regular firearms season opens (I'll be useing my bow of course) on Dec 1st.Oh, that extra light was probably from our full (rutting) moon. Yea, right!!
