Default Time to rap up the season

Well the season is pretty much over here, today is the last day for bow. I got my buck but not a doe. I will use my doe tag for gun season. I will be sitting out there tomorrow with my wife in the double tree stand in hopes that I can call her in a deer. She has been gun hunting for about 5 years now and has yet to get a deer. So I will try and help her out this year. Good luck to everyone that going to gun hunt, and stay safe.

I'll never understand why the early bow season is so freakin' revered, I saw a grand total of five deer during our six week Early Archery period(as usual), and three of them were on the side of the road as I was headed for work. The temps haven't dropped below fifty for most of the period(as usual), so the few deer that were out had night vision goggles on. The pre-rut was dead quiet(as usual), and the only two deer that came within sight of me never gave me a shot. Our prime rut is kicking in just in time for our General Firearms period this weekend(thank gawd), I'll be spending most of the next three days in a pop-up hoping to double out by Monday.

shot a doe so far with my bow, but im fortnate to have permission in a county that is bowhunting only all season, so i never put away bow when i hunt there. However my farm has its opener for rifle tomorrow. Been seeing tons of deer this season and even some shooters just havent connected yet.
