Default Can someone explain the whole FOC thing?

Ok I understand the concept of weighting the front of the arrow, but what purpose does it serve. All the info you guys can give will help in building my arrow.

It's about leverage and deflection. The further the balance point is forward on the arrow, the more leverage the vanes have over the head. The further forward from center the deflection point is, the less it can deflect (bend) when it encounters resistance (smaller wave amplitude).

Ok I am definately not understanding exactly what this does. So if I add a weighted insert and heavier head I get better penetration?

I believe arrow flight is affected as well. Mine seem to stabilize faster w/125g as opposed to 100g
