Default NY crossbows ?

I've heard from quite a few people that next year crossbows will be legal here in NY can anyone verify this ?

Not that I know of, theres nothing new on the DEC website. Not sure where you would go to get that kind of information.

I guess I could understand it for the old and/or disabled but for the common person I don't want to see it either

I would be in favor of an early antlerless archery season from oct 1 -15 for Xbows and reg bows, but not for the traditional NY archery season.

There is too much advantage in using a "bow" w/ a scope and that doesnt have to be drawn when the game is within shooting distance. Bowhunting the rut should be a privilege for those who use regular acrhery tackle IMO.

Dose anyone know IN laws on the use of a cross bow? I might be looking at shoulder surgery in the next month or two and am woried about next season. Thanks for the help!

No, I meant the traditional NY bow,season dates.(3rd sat in oct - gun season)
