Default Need Arrow Advice pleeeassee

I have shot GoldTip arrows since I got into bow hunting a couple of years ago..... That being said, I am getting ready to upgrade to a new bow (Bowtech Admiral) and will be shooting between 65 and 70 pounds with an arrow that is approximately 26 inches long. I have been shooting a gold tip XT 3555 and the guy at my bow shop said that I would be able to shoot
this all the way up to 69 pounds, however, when looking at the chart on the gT website it seems to indicate that I should shoot the 5575. I was wondering what you all would recommend and what would be the repercussions of shooting a 3555 at 69 pounds with a 26 inch arrow. Thanks so much for any help, it is greatly appreciated.

I'd step up to the 55/75's, definitely.

You'll have a lot less tuning issues with the stiffer shaft.

I'm assuming the guy at the shop told you you would be fine because of the length of the arrow. Either way, you're better off with the heavier spine.

No doubt you should step up to a 400 spine arrow, but depending on what your DL is and what BH you use, you may find that you need something weaker or stiffer than a 400. But shooting a 3555 is just asking for some carbon fibers in you arm or where ever else they may find a place to become lodged.

I agree.. You could even cut them a bit longer or maybe shorter to get the stiffness of the spine as close to "perfect" as possible..
