Default food plots next year

my friend and i are looking to plant a food plot next year in some bottom ground the runs along a creek that always has water. i was wondering if any one had any advice tips or comments. the only trouble here is if we get rediculess amounts of rain it floods here in which i hope it does not, but please give me your in put
