Default NY Rut???

Anyone seeing any sign of the rut kicking in for NY yet? if so where you at?
I haven't seen anything yet. I saw one deer yesterday, (to far away to see what it was), and it was by its self just walking slow. Noscrapes, but afew new rubs here.

As I look out my sliding glass door this morning I see a buck trotting across the field with his head down, he was on a mission. Of course this is on land behind me that I cant hunt.[:@]

Seen some crazy chasing Monday morning and afternoon. 6 bucks all together with their noses to the ground. Two of them were shooters. One at 9:00am and the other at 9:30am. Scrapes are popping up all over the place now. Saw a spike just about screw himself into the ground running in circles with his nose to the ground. And of course ...... didn't see a single deer this AM [8D][:-]. I hunt 7f

Had a 6 or 8 chasing a doe all around us Sun PM... never could get a shot in an old thick orchard... right over the MA / NY line.

Sounds like everyone is starting to see the rut kicking in. With gun season starting Saturday and animpending rain system for Wednesday night into Sunday, tomorrow may be the day to get out. I just have a doe tag left till gun season.

I think the rut is running late this year. I will be out there with my gun on Saturday.
It seems like every few years the rut is late, this must be the year. Last time this happened, if memory serves me right, was about 5 or 6years ago.
