I'm curious. How early do we get to our stands in the mornings? Personally, I like to get there and be "ready" to go no less than 1 hour before shooting light. I like to let the woods settle. That's just me though. How about you guys? Thanks!
I have found over the years I spook way less game going in when it is light out. I have had deer watch me get into my stand and not spook.
Ya know, I heard someone on one of the hunting shows say this and at the time I thought he was out of his mind! But I actually tried it once and you know what? I actually did make less noise than when I usually go in the woods.
I like to be on stand 45 minutes prior to shooting light. Other mornings, probably just like many of you, I am moving quickly to get set up just 15-20 minutes before shooting light.
