This may not be a big deal to some but it was for me and my son. On our second day hunting we got to experience a first. I've been hunting for 15 years and my son, who is19,just started bow hunting last year and we got to see our first buck fight. Then 2 min after we got to see another first. The winner mated the doe! I should have turned my head and gave them their privacy but I couldn't help but watch.
Like I said, may not be a big deal to others but it was to us. And for my son to experience it was a bigger bonus to me. So COOL!!
That is one of the reasons I hunt. To experience those type of things, I still see and hear things in the deer woods that I have never heard or seen before.
Neat experience you had there, and cool to share it with your son too.
It would be a big deal to me. I've seen a few spars over the years, but never a knockdown dragout fight nor have I ever experienced witnessing the "dirty deed".
That is cool that you got to experience it with your son. That will be a lifetime memory for the both of you.
