Your gonna get a ton of different answers on this one!! I personally dont have a problem with Muzzy or Slick Trick!! I am using 100Grn Slick Trick Mags and they fly great!!

Take a look at the top of the bowhunting page and there is about 16(?) pages of sucessful broadhead kills for this year, check them out and see what Fixed Head seems to be favored!!! Gd Luck!!

There are four or five that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I shoot slicktrick's myself, and I've shot them on targets out to 80 yards. They are limited only by my poor shooting.

Slick Tricks

Tried and tested... hard to improve on... NAP Thunderheads.

G5 Montec

G5 Striker or Wac'Ems

Wasp's

And an often overlooked head that is one of the strongest five piece heads ever made, InnerLoc's.

I agree here. I too really like the Slick Tricks. They fly great, cut some awe inspiring holes, they're really tough, extremely sharp, and are probably the most economical broadhead with very economical replacmentblades.

I used the Montec for a few years and had good sucess with them. The ONLY problem I had was that I could never get them to fly just like my FT's. I did kill my share of elk and deer with them though. The Hellrazor is very similar to the Montec. I also have several buddies using the Muzzys and they consistantly take game with them too. Several have switched to Slick Tricks too mostly because of the price.

BTW IMHO its a good move to go fixed BH's.

Good luck

I have no personal experience with this head but have heard it is nothing but a Muzzy but better made!! This also might be an option to check out, definantely look TOUGHER then a Muzzy!!!

Whether I'm at the track or in the woods, it always has to be with the slickies! Tried many others. Nothing even half way impressed me like they do.

It's not just the broadhead. It's a combination the the bow, broadhead and ARROW. Buy the best straightest arrows you can afford. Go for the best level of straightness. If the bow is tuned, most will shoot just fine. I've used probably 15 different broadheads to kill deer. My favorites are the Thunderhead and the one I'm using presently, the Shuttle T by Tight Point. The Muzzy is a close 3rd but just didn't group as well for my bow as the Thunderhead. If they aren't flying right.... they won't kill right.

Slick Trick Magnums fly as good as ANY Fixed BH I've ever shot. NOTHING I've tried compares. They even fly well out of a "half-tuned" bow!!! I HONESTLY think they fly better than my FP's sometimes, though I know that doesn't make any sense, it's the "GOD's Honest truth!!!"

As has been said, there are NUMEROUS good ones out there, even the CHEAPO ones you can buy at Wally World are capable of clean kills if you put them where they belong.

One more vote for Tricks. My bow is tuned well and most heads hit where I aim, without a doubt Slick Tricks give me the smallest group size. I'm using the 100 grain magnums.
