Just got back my mount from the buck I shot on OCT 1st this year... Just thought I would share it wil you all....
I shoot a nice buck just about every year during bow season, and the guy who does them ALWAYS, gets them back to me before Thanksgiving. It is about a 5 week turn around, due to him doing his own tanning.. He may not be the best job in the world, but I get my mounts early....I for sure don't have to wait a YEAR..... $425 out the door....
was the cape from another deer, already cured? If not, you MAY have some issues when it dries completely. Skull plate on the mount looks odd. Nice buck though!

No matter how good you think you are, it's about being in the right place at the right time.
I have had 5 others done by this guy and have had no problems with the capes drying.... I do see how you could say that about his skull plate.. It is really the picture, If you look at when I shot him there is a big color change in his skull, a lot lighter on top of his head..The color change does look weird.... It really doeslook better in person, as they all do....
