Well finally scored a buck this season. After 6 years of bowhunting this is my largest buck to date. Went out yesterday and set up a new a stand. At 4:45 I literally dropped my bow out of the stand [:@]...I have never dropped anything out of the stand. So I climbed down and inspected my bow and drew it a couple times and was satisfied it was ok. For some reason I decided to go ahead and climb back up for the last 20 minutes of day light. Got back up there at 4:55. At 5:05 at heard some noise behind me and hit the can twice and this guy came flying in. I let the Undertaker fly and he piled up less than 100 yards away.

So here's the lesson for the new guys...Never give up even if everything is going wrong just keep hunting.

I decided to get back in the stand. and at 5:00 i had three does come into the feild. if they had been bucks i would of shot them but just shows that you never know when theyre gonna come out

Great buck, way to go! - at one point or another I have dropped every single item I carry out of a tree - except for myself - so just be happy it wasnt on a rock!

No kidding...It just really hurt cause this is my first brand new bow. It would figure that I would drop it and not the hand me downs of the past oh well.
