Early season ends on the 14th and i havent been out enough to see a deer to shoot at so today i went out and let my excitement of actually seeing a deer blind me. I was a half of a second away fom sticking a yearling, but she moved. I did however see a few more does and a buck. Only a 4 pointer but im a little curious of actually how old the deer was because he had some mass for a 4 pt. He was too far out for me to get a shot but he would have made a great first deer
If that is what makes you happy then go for it. No reason to be ashamed, I saw a small buck this year who appears to be injured. Seen him twice, If I see him again and he does not appear to be doing well I will shoot him. I am comfortable with that.
Do what makes you happy man, like posted above, I also will be glad to post my congrats to you.
No reason to be ashamed! Meat in the freezer. That's all i gotta say.
Any bowkill is a good thing! The small ones (doe) tast better anyway. This is my only kill so far this season, but when I hadfresh backstrap for dinner the next night, I was in heaven!

Listen here, you do what makes you happy. Take that bow and shoot something with it! Make yourself happy. Soak up the sights, sounds, and beauty of the woods after you make your first bow kill.
