Default Leaving stands up through gun season.

Here it is legal to leave stands up on public land during season so i have.

For those of you that also do do you leave them up during gun season or remove them.He there isabout 300 more people hunting the area a day during gun season. It worrys me with that many people running around

I only bowhunt public land for various reasons. But, if I do leave my stands up, they at a minimum get a lock and chain or a purchased treestand locking unit. I have had two taken in NY that I left on public land.

So, if you leave them, put a lock or something around it.

Some I leave up and some I take down.Of the one's I leave up,they are pad locked and in every tree I pull the bottom 5 steps.

ya a lock is a must i got a python treestand cable lock for mine locks like it will hold up though the cable is alot smaller then it looked in the pic.
