Default High trail or low

so i have found two trails leding from bed to cut ag fields. one is high on the ridge and stays about 20yards from the fild edgeand the other is in the bottom on a creekbed with ceders. i dont know if there is a rule for this but would either one be better than the other?

Default RE: High trail or low

All things being equal, I'd go hunt trail with the most cover. By your description, that'd be the low trail. Otherwise, I'd pay attention to the wind and hunt the trail with the best wind advantage. By the way, any oaks on the ridge?. They might be picking up some acorn hors d'oeuvres on the way to the fields.
