Default What makes a Non-typical? Pics up now

This may be a very dumb question, but what actually makes a non typical? To be more clear, what is the definition here? I shot a buck tonight and am curious if he would be considered non typical or not. I have already recovered him but came home for a lantern and camera.

A point that comes from anywhere other than the top portion of the main beam. Double brows also make it non-typical.

Thanks, ya I realize that any kind of drop tines would classify it as non-typical. But this deer has 2 main beams on each side. What does that count as?

Typical is two main beamswith thepoints originating from these each with their own base. Anything else is nontypical.

So if a buck has 4 main beams, does this mean he gets 16 mass measurements?

You can score your buck either way but he will score higher as a non typical. Any point an Inch long Is considered a point as long as Its longer then Its wider.

That's one goofy looking rack, specially on the base of It.

Yup, Ideally every deer (or most) you could say that about. I believe this deer is at least a 3 1/2 year old, I could be wrong but he has an awful large body. He weighed in around 150 field dressed (which is pretty decent for this area. Anyway, I only have permission for this year at this point so I can't really worry about next year.
