Default hang on stand question

i am kinda new to using hang on/lock on stands. i have always used a climber or ladder stands. My question is do you normally leave them on the tree all season or do you just leave your climbing sticks/screw in steps etc. on different trees and have one lock on stand that you strap to different trees depending on where you want to hunt

They are cheap I have 7 in the woods right now 2I have not taken down in years. I do replace the straps every 2 or 3 years.

I have a lot of sticks and a couple of stands I use to be mobile, Iwill leave the sticks in thegood places and normally just move the stands around as I want to hunt them.....I also have two spots thatI leave the stands and sticks year round, like said above I too check the straps and everything every year before season.....

I use some of both. I leave the ladder stands out all year long but I loosen the straps at the end of each season so the tree doesnt break them growing over the summer. I have 5 hang on stands that I leave out all year as well. Some have straps some have chains. It just depends on where you hunt and who else is in the area. I take down stands every year when I hunt other properties that I do not own, that way I know the wont grow legs and walk off.

It takes me no longer to hang and take downthan it does to use a climber. I have both, the climber being the Equalizer but I have used the Lone Wolf exclusively this year as it allows you to be in trees the climber can't.

a piece of advice. if you use the ladder sections i usually take down the las two so no one can get to my stand. also i use a lock to attach it to the tree for security reasons. i set up as many as i can and leave as much as i can in the woods gives me versatility.

On private property I will hang and leave 2 or 3 stands tops. But on public land where I hunt most of the time, you had better not leave it on a tree if you want to hang on to it. Therefore I have Lone Wolf alpha hang on and sticks that I use for that. I can get 17-20 feet and be hunting in about 10 minutes tops. Then when I am done, I take it down and pack it out.
