Default So So close to an Indiana bruiser this morning UPDATE page 2

To make a long story short, i seen six different bucks this morning. The last and sixth buck was a 10 point 160"er
four came within 15 yards and two did not, he was one of them he was headed the exact path the other bucks had came, i was ready but shaking [8D]The wind picked up bad but still in my favor. He was nervous and i could tell he knew he was not supposed to be out there. He ended up turning and paralling me at 42 yards He stoped, i grunted and he about craped himself and flinched [&:]I could have shot but with the cross winds, 42 yards and a nervous buck i decided not to. he walked out of my life He had tines at least 12" and was perfectly laid out. It puzzled me that he was not real heavy in body. I have an adjusted tree for in the morning weather permitting. good luck everyone!!

Smart move on your part. Sure, your arrow could have connect and it ended good, or your arrow could have connected and ended very badly. At least now you know he is stillhow there, alive and well and you have a chance at him with more favorable conditions. Good for you to hold off on a questionable shot. I hope you are rewarded for it!!!

Wind is terrible here today as well, I elected to stay out of my area tonight.

Awesome ordeal on the bruiser, I saw an IDENTICAL buck to what you describe Tuesday AM....seein something like that sure does fuel the fire to stay on stand doesnt it? Good luck getting to him.

SAT should be perfect conditions...light wind, high in low 50s, cool crisp day should explode deer movement...orange army gets to head out Saturday as well though....I plan on sitting all day, if for nothing else, to hear how the neighboring rifle hunters fare for opening day. 2-3 of them wont head out again after opening weekend.

What was it about Election Day??? I saw a MONSTER 11 pointwith a split brow. He was over 170 for sure. Had him at 5 yards behind the tree at one point and couldnt get a shot. If you guys are like me I was more sick than happy!

Sounds like a great encounter, although I wish he had given you that 15 yard shot. I still have faith you can get him
