Default Why would someone do this?

Hey everyone. A couple of days ago, I made a killer shot on a really nice doe, and I didn't want to mess up and start chasing it around and end up losing it. So I went home for a few hours and went back to start tracking my deer. I had amazing blood. I just put on the rage broadheads and WOW. I mean blood everywhere. So it's now about 9:00 at night and I start tracking the deer. Good frothy blood all over the place. I track it for about 100 yards and the blood just ends.................. I mean GONE. So I start making circles looking for more blood. That's when I see quad tracks close by. I fallow the the track the quad for maybe 20 yards and what do I see..............? A gut pile...... I am just floored. I can't believe it. I seen the guy leaving the woods just a little after I shot her.

This would have been my second deer this year, and second deer ever. 25 years of hunting and this year has been my break-out year.

I'm pissed that someone would do this to another hunter.. I guy's I just don't know what to say. This jerk took my rage broadhead and my arrow. What a douche bag. Sorry for venting guy's.

Can't imagine wanting a deer so badly you have to steal it from a brother.

I heart shot a small buck with a 12 gauge years ago and had a guy walk up to it and shoot the dead dear in the head on the ground and claimed he shot it running and took the deer. I know I heart shot it because I checked and my 1" hole throught the chest and the heart comming out in peices showed me I really killed it.

And he was soooo proud of himself too. Not worth getting in an argument about. I snapped a couple pics and went on my way. I doubt he even tagged it.

I have heard of this before, but it is normally with bucks. People just go crazy for that bone. Not to dismiss it, but is it possible this guy came across the kill and thought that maybe someone had "lost" this deer and he recovered it just so it did not go to waste?

Yeah it just sucks that someone would do that. I was so happy of the shot and the blood trail. I know that sounds stupid, but man was I looking foreward to eating backstraps...............

you killed her and did everything right You have nothing to hold against yourself. You just need to let it go and realize that there are alot of idiots out there. Hopefully he needed the meat worse than you. I say let it go and get back out there and fill another tag.Good Luck
