Default Please help- Lost my first bucks!! Kind of a long one

I am pretty new to this site but everyone on here seems to be very helpful and I could really use some help on this one(I didnt get much sleep last night)

So heres the story:
Yesterday morning at about 7am I had a small 4 pointer come in and hang out under my stand(which is about 20feet up). After about ten minutes I have heard some grunts behind me. Next thing I saw was a nice rack (120" or so I think) coming through the thicket right behind me. After standing up quickly I was able to get a full draw as the deer passed about 8 yards or so. I took the shot after he stopped at my fifteen yard mark. The arrow stuckthrough him quarting away what looked to be high to the front [:@]. I think right over his front shoulder but he was quarting away. I saw the deer run twenty yards and then the arrow came out of him(complete pass through). He continued down a hill then I lost him.
I figured it was pretty good shot so after a half hour I got down and went for some breakfast. I came back with a buddy about a hour and a half later. After finding my arrow which was covered in blood(bright red)I also found a good blood trail. We continued on the trail for about 40 yards and KICKED THE DEER UP!![:@][:@]We watched him run down a hill and acrossed a street into a nother patch of woods. After getting in my car to back out we drove down the road and the deer was standing on the side of the road. I stopped and he took of again into some fields.
After about 3 hours I came back with some friends we found a small blood trail across the road and just a little bit on the other side but nothing where we saw the deer standing. We cris-crossed a huge area, checked all of the water sources and combed through the field... NOTHING.
I again went home and tried to call the local dog trakcers in but no one was available. Today I looked in the morning some more but nothing then had to go to work. The dog people said it was just too long to try tomorrow.

ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE??? Dont really know what else to do accept wait for the buzzards. Also there is a huge pack of coyotes in the area.

Keep looking, that's all you can do. Check all the nastiest thickest places you can find. Check near water, and also back where you shot him, he may have circled back. Good luck.

You probably didn't hit him as good as you though. Bright red blood isn't always a good thing. You want the darker blood with bubbles in it. When your on the trail, you also want to see that the ndeer was spraying out his mouth and nose along with blood coming from the body as well. By the was you said you shot and hit him, that was probably a marginal hit and he'll live.
