Coyotes Should I find another place to hunt?

I've got a small peice of land to hunt. Haven't seen a deer yet but have all nocturnal pics on the camera. Tonight I was on stand and a huge coyote showed up and hung around till dark. Should I give up on this spot and try to find another?[/align]

I wouldn't worry about the yote. They really don't bother deer all that much.

You should be fine, coyotes and deer live together on a regular bases. They just know how to skirt one another.

I've seen coyotes and deer interact without fear on several occasions. I watched a 6 pt walk in face to face with a yote and they just stared at each other at 10 yards, they walked away unscathed.

Thursday I watched a spike scent trail 3 yotes back into cover.

Could you not get a shot on the yote?

you should be fine, a few years back i had a yote come in at 22 yards and i missed. %$#^& things. not more than an hour later i had a buck come in and bed down about 7 yards from where i missed that stupid yote!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i think you should be ok, justlike -2 lunger and rob said.

Try hunting there again and see if it comes back.
I would really like to arrow a coyote.

Yotes are affraid to death of a mature healthy buck. I once watched a buck makingeating acornsand a yotes cameupon it. The buck charged at the yote andthe yotecouldn't high tail it out of there faster enough.They won't bother a thing.
