Day 1 and 2 are officially in the books, after my 14hr joyride out here.
Evening Day #1 (Oct 28) had a lot of deer activity in the cool weather but no shooting opportunities. No bucks sighted.
Morning Day #2 (Oct 29) found a lot of deer on their feet in the 27 degree crisp morning. The 1.5yr old bucks are on the prowl with 3 in bow range this AM. Almost shot a doe but she went left when she needed to go right.
Evening Day #2 (Oct 29)Found us hanging in Greg's new "freezer filler" hotspot where he has taken 3 does in the last few weeks. There are also some nice open scrapes showing up so we hung this area hoping one might be towing a buck along...........but figuring we'd shoot another doe if given the chance.
Look at the size of this girl that showed up. [:-]
Don't need to say much else but HOLY BACKSTRAPS.
THis one was shot with a 2 blade Rage and is #3 down for the year so far for the Bowtech Admiral.
We moved a couple stands this afternoon and got some encouraging trail camera pics so hopefully things will heat up here on my .........let's call it an "extended leave of absence" from PA.
