Default 200 inch club...

Who here has ever killed a buck surpassing 200 inches or personally knows someone that has put one down.

Me personally I know of 2. One was my cousin...got an 18 pt. 204(I believe it was about 10 years ago so not exactly sure). And the other was a mammoth 234 a guy around here shot.

I know of some 170's and 180's and saw a 2something at the processing place a couple years ago, but I'm really not qualified to be in this conversation. unless you say 140's.

You mean Chad Goetten's?

There was a 237" killed at Otter Creek Hunt Club a while back too. I think a guy from New Jersey or maybe Virginia killed it.

I usually get to see at least 1 every year at my buddies taxi shop.

Yea I had seen the one from Otter Creek in the paper around here.

Chad's deer is the most massive thing I have ever seen.

Did Schnettgoeke get both of them in his shop when they were killed?

There was a buck nicknamed the Halloween buck (Shot it on Halloween) taken by an acquaintance of mine about 2 miles from my house. I'd have to scan the picture of me holding the almost finished mount if I can find it at all. He grossed 209" I believe and had 19 points.

I tried to dig up some old pictures of my cousins buck but can't find any in the old albums laying around.

It's a pretty cool looking deer. Has matching "turkey" feet brow tines that count for 6 of it's points. Was one of 2 giants running around our farm during that time. The other one was still there for a few more years but never was killed as far as I know.

He mounted Goettens and skinned the other one out and kept it in his freezer till the guy went home.
