Default How many Of my fellow bowhunters hunt multiple states in a season.

This year I hunted/still huntingin Pa. and also did a little bit in New York on some new land. Was wondering how many of you make the rounds and hit a few different states, even if it is for different game.....

Well I always hunt Colorado for elk, I buy the Sportsman Non-Resident License for New York which lets me hunt deer with a bow, muzzleloader and shotgun, small game and turkey. Being a resident of PA, that is a given for me.

I hunt Michigan and also Ill. this year, last year was Missouri. But I think it is getting way out of hand money wise
so next year will be Mich. only....I think not sure yet.

I hunt PA and MD hard. If I fill tags there on decent bucks, I move to my land in NY or Del. Last year I filled my buck tag in PA MD and NY all on nice bucks, But you sure pay the price in gas etc in traveling throughout the season to scout all this area. [:@]

This year is a slow one for me, just too much stuff to do at the office to get away like normal.

I am leaving in a couple of hours for 4 days in southern Ohio. I will get to hunt South Dakota for a week, a little more in Ohio, south and east Texas, and if I am able to squeeze in an extra week somewhere, it will be in Wisconsin.

As it turns out...I hunted two states last year. I'll hunt two this year. I'll hunt at least two next year. 2010 I'll also hunt at least 2.

We'll go from there.

OH & PA and ID this year too. I'd love to hunt those every year, but the ID trip is a big one. There are a lot of states I'd like to hunt. I'm liking going to hunt new places.

I have hunted two states so far this year, my homestate of Florida and up in Alabama. 2nd week of November I will be hunting in Arkansas for a week. Would be nice to have a wallhanger from all 3 states in one year.
