Here's the state park I hunt. I can't figure out how to use a topo with this post on here, so I just want to see what you'd think just looking at this. Just the land between the road and the river, from the cornfieldto the west to the cornfield on the east side, and including it.
Well first off, this isn't a topo, it's an airial photo. With the corn and the woods it looks like good country. The deer will feed and seek cover. It looks flat so just find the trails and go from there. NO bottlenecks to speak of. Deer are creatures of habit. On this type of property it doesn't take a topo expert. It takes feet on the ground to find out what the deer are doing and where they're moving.Do a walk about and adjust. I'd start on the left end with the small stream, deeper woods and all that. Being a state park I suspect there are other hunters there too. Find the deer concentrations and figure out where they'll go when pressured. Other hunters are going to be your main concern and problems.
