My local shop (which doesn't sell Hoyts) told me they were a good solid bow. Personally, however, if you are on a budget you might want to wait to try one of the new PSE Bow Madness bows. I haven't shot one yet, but I have shot the new '09 X-Forces. If the Bow Madness bows even feel close to those (probably smoother being a single cam) they should have a very solid bow with some speed. Plus I think the Bow Madness is comparable in price ($599 for 32" ata)to the Hoyt Hawk bows. Not exactly cheap or a budget bow price, but still better than the $800-$900 high end prices.

If ur wanting to get a new hoyt on a budget then go look at some reflexes. Their the same thing as a hoyt just a couple to three hundred cheaper. I was gonna buy a new hoyt but opted for a reflex for alot cheaper.
