no brainer, but id venture to guess you already knew the answer as well. You have all season to chase that doe after rut, from now till mid november is the best chance at a buck.

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'
if you feel like you may get a chance to kill a good buck then I would go there...hell I have not even drawn the bow yet and Im still letting good buck sign dictate where I hunt..my goal for this year is to kill a nice buck, a mountable buck to me.... I will take a doe or 6, but as long as Im seeing big buck sign I may keep going after them, it does suck though turning down a shot on a doe or going to a place that has does when you have not shot one yet....but if I had shot a doe already, no question about it, Im going for the buck...we'll see, today I may go to a doe spot and try my luck!

Only way I shoot a doe up there is if she comes out EARLY. Otherwise.....I'm waitin'.
32 sits so far this year.....and I'm neither anxious nor discouraged. it's learning the new land......and it's "huntin'". I have NO IDEA of what's up there in that woodlot......but the sign is there. I'm just excited to ge tto go in there. It's a BEAUTIFUL spot.
