Default Proud Father

My son Nick is sixteen and has been bow hunting for three years. The first two years he did not go out much due to school and sports activities. This year he is hunting hard. Tonight I took him out to my primary stand while I hunted a few hundred yards away in my climber. Nick shoots very tight groups out to 35 yards. Anything past that he does not feel comfortable with.

Tonight he had a spike buck and a large doe come by. The spike he ranged at 44 yards and the doe at 36 yards. He decided not to try the doe because the wind was a blowing a little hard he said. I was very proud that he showed the restraint and did not take the low percentage shot.

Soon Nick will tag a deer, I feel it in my bones)))

Kudos to a father who instilled values in his son.

Well done.
