Default This has been a rough two weeks of hunting....

the first morning was cool, but that afternoon was blazing and almost everyday since then has been blazing hot, then came the rain, today it cooled off, but the rain was too much...I lasted 2 hrs in the tree this afternoon, but I couldn't stick it out...man I hope tomorrow is better...it's should colder and the rain should go away...

I've seen 6 deer in 7 sits in the last two weeks. 3 bucks and 3 does. I saw a 4-6 point (couldn't tell if he had browtines) today at 3pm..he came up and over a saddle I was sitting on, about 50 yards off. The afternoon was "beautiful" to me....alot cooler and overcast. I am used to seeing this few of deer over the last couple of years.

I have about 30 hours on stand since Oct. 1st. Have not seen much at all. Biggest was a tiny six pointer. Real slow start this year.

the weather is the main culprit...however, I see acorns everywhere and no deer seem to be eating them....unless they eat a little bit of the acorns everywhere they go??? I just don't see fresh droppings around the acorns like usual...
