Default Well My Safety System Works

This strap(1 of 2)holds a stick step up I used when setting up a stand. I was taking GR8 advice and doing a little running and gunning. I was setting up where I have never hunted before. I got the stand setup, but did not like the position. So I lowered my safety rope down and climbed back on to the stick step. Started to adjust stand and pop is what I heard. Next thing I know my gonads are lodge in my ass, and I am hanging in the tree. I was able to pull my self up and swing over to one of my steps.

Man I love my safety systems I used a full body harness.

Yeah Gary ....praise GOD you are ok!!! After the phone call, my wife was like, "who is that?" after I told her the story, she gave me 3rd degree about what I use, is my harness as good as Gary's .....blah blah blah ..... I still can't understand how that strap snapped like that....

At least I can tell my wife now after your post that my belt wontlodge my gonads in my arse .... lol!!

I see how it broke, the latch has "teeth" on it to hold it. I was messing with the position of it just before it went snap. It cut it a bit and the rest just went. I will be replacing all those straps.

Good thing, most think that it will never happen to them. I always wear a strap...never leave home without it.
