This strap(1 of 2)holds a stick step up I used when setting up a stand. I was taking GR8 advice and doing a little running and gunning. I was setting up where I have never hunted before. I got the stand setup, but did not like the position. So I lowered my safety rope down and climbed back on to the stick step. Started to adjust stand and pop is what I heard. Next thing I know my gonads are lodge in my ass, and I am hanging in the tree. I was able to pull my self up and swing over to one of my steps.
Man I love my safety systems I used a full body harness.

I see how it broke, the latch has "teeth" on it to hold it. I was messing with the position of it just before it went snap. It cut it a bit and the rest just went. I will be replacing all those straps.
