Default Too early to start rattline in WI

I've seen a lot of bucks sparring lately,(itlooks like playing to me,) so my question is, is it too early to rattle and bring them in. I've been seeing new scrapes and rubs every day.

I will be rattling tomorrow morning but very lightly. This time of the year just a soft rattling sequence is the trick. Banging the horns together really loud will only chase them away this time of year IMO.

I think a little light rattling might not be out of the question. If bucks are starting to do some light sparring, a little light tickling of the tines may bring in some curious spectators.

no, not too early. personally, i think rattling can work as soon as the bucks are out of velvet.

I think there is a huge difference in "rattling" and just "tickling the antlers". I wouldn't get too serious with the antlers right now but light sparring and tickling, sure. They are sizing each other up and a dominant buck is still a dominant buck and one never knows.

I usually, ONLY use rattling or sparring when I have visual and he isn't coming to the calls.
