A year or 2 ago, there was a post on here about how some guys made their own fall restraint rope to use while ascending/descending from a hang-on style stand. I beleive they would fix the rope at stand height with a eye bolt, and also attach it the base of the tree, and use some sort of carbiner clip........orprussic hitchto attach their harness too and slide up/down while ascending/descending.
Can anyone refresh my memory on what size rope is used for this setup and what other ideas you fellas came up with.........and where you bought the stuff ??
I'd like to build few of these for my november vacation days whenI'll be floating between 2 or 3 states and several stand sites.
Yea, that sounds famalier. Ok, where can I buy that type of rope from? I'm at work now, and playing on the internet to shop isn't encouraged. If you can give me some ideas, I'd appreciate it so I can start looking at home tonite.
