Default Fun season so far

I am caught in the lul between early and late seasons and thought that I would post a few pics of how the year is going. Though I did not harvest the bull of a lifetime this year, I found what I was looking for to fill the freezer. With the price of beef, who could let a nice fat cow walk by....

I cut my elk season short for a trip to ND. Here is a buck that Kevin took on a ranch that we talked our way on... We saw a ton of nice bucks and one big Kitty Cat that we caught on video. That Mt Lion was fun to watch, he was quite inquisitive......

Jerrod took this buck on day 6 in a new public area that we found. It took some time to find this bugger after he shot it, and we found out how much fun the Badlands can be in the dark.... I ended up shooting a doe the last evening after passing several opportunities at medium size bucks throughout the week. I can't wait to hunt the migration and already have my December turkey hunt in the planning stages...Not a banner year for me, but the freezer is slowly filling to the rim.....

Here is a pic of me in a petrified forest, in the background you can see many other petrified stumps. It was so cool to hunt in a forest of stone....

As far a scoreable trophy potential, it has been a bust so far, but I did however meet some new people andhave memories that will last a lifetime....

And I found another slice of heaven to boot..........
