Default Stand sight suggestions from map

Hey guys. Seems I am a few weeks behind the trend of these types of posts, but wanted to see if I could get a little input after my first few sits did not pan out. I hunted this property one time last year with a friend, and just happened to move to the house (marked on the map in yellow) this summer. I worked on the friend until I got permission on the property for this year. It sure is nice to be able to walk out the door and hunt!
To give context to my hunts: so far I have hunted afternoon only, I am unsure of entry routes in the morning and don"™t want to bugger up my spot too much.
I practice scent control and pay attention to wind direction fairly well.
I am unsure of the patterns of the deer here. I think browse and acorns are probably the only available food sources, but I don"™t have any large oak flats located. Essentially, I am hoping you guys could point me in a few good directions without me having to tramp through the entire thing at this point in the year and further alert the deer.
Here is the legend for the map:
- Red is the outline of the property that I have permission to be on
- The purple line is the point at which the two other hunters (who fortunately do not hunt as much as me) are unlikely to go farther north than"¦ they hunt from fixed stands on the southern portion"¦ I could definitely hunt down there without getting in their way, but I would prefer to remain in the upper half where I know I have it all to myself
- Dark blue lines are large powerline right of ways, they are brushy, and vary from knee height to chest height
- Light blue line is a telephone line right of way, it has been bush-hogged within the past month
- My house is marked in yellow
- The green dots are the stand sights I have hunted so far (I hunt out of a climber, so I am pretty flexible)
- The orange dots represent deer sightings
o The northernmost ones are right by my driveway- I often see deer here in the mornings, and I am surmising they have a bedding area just to the southwest of those dots
o The two on the east side below the house are where I jumped a few bedded deer walking in the other afternoon"¦ the dashed orange arrow line is the approximate direction of flight they took
o The single orange dot to the left of the green stand sight is where I saw a nice 8 point the other day that I would like to get another chance at"¦ around five in the afternoon he strolled by at twenty yards while I was snipping a few branches with my bow on the ground five yards away, the solid orange arrow represents his direction of travel
Thus far, I have entered by leaving my house and traveling through the small section of woods in a southwesternly diagonal direction to intersect the telephone line right of way and proceed in to the larger woods from there. I have exited in the evenings by walking north out the telephone line right of way to my driveway.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this and offer any helpful suggestions. I appreciate it. If there is any information that I neglected to provide, or if you need a close-up of some part, just let me know!

Jon

Topo map would probably help too if you could get your hands on one. It's a whole lot easier if you know how to use them to find the funnels or benches.

The field on the right is not planted, it's just grass. I think it was cut for hay earlier in the year. There is also a two lane road that runs in between that field and the edge of the woods. It's hard to see with the trees on this map.

I do need to examine a topo more closely. However, things are pretty flat for the most part. On the telephone line right-of-way, you can see the entire length of it because of how flat things are. There are a few dried-up creek beds that create some sort of drainage bowls, but not a whole lot of saddle/bench territory it seems from the times I have been back in the middle of things.

Creek beds are good though. If the creek runs through the property, the deer have to cross it. Just walk the creekbed and find where the sides look really beat down from deer crossing at that point. I love the creekbeds and have had great success hunting near them!

Just above your purple line appears to be where there is a break in the timber (running East & West).I have always had luck hunting pinch points when you have some topography, but when the land is flat, I hunt these breaks (where the timber changes)...Deer are creatures of edge and taking the easy route when they have the opportunity.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I did locate one good such location along a creek bed today, a pretty heavily traveled trail...

I appreciate any and all insight... I think the lack of known or unknown destination food sources is confusing me.

i would also try inside corners of any field, those tend to be entry points for most deer
