Default Need Rain help ASAP

Iwant to head out to the woods tonite but it is raining here in WI i want to know if i should still get out

I am in the same neck of the woods. I would hunt if you have a chance....but that being said...Last season I hunting in the rain and it was the only time all season I was consistently winded by deer. I saw quite a few deer and each of them were on the same route. Every one of them when they reached my scent line stuck their nose in the air and tail went up and they trotted back the direction they came. So my advice is go hunting but make sure you are in a stand that is going to be downwind of the deer travel route. The rain will make you stink more and bring the scent lower to the ground. It is like groused hunting in rain or shortly after. A dog can smell a bird in wet conditions way better than in dry.

Well an east wind, rain combo is only good for disaster. I wont hunt my property with an east wind or rain.
