Default new hunting area

HI yall
Well I will be going out for the first time this season and possibly my last because of time constraints because of my job. I am goingto a place that I have never hunted and I need some advice about setting up in a place that I have never scouted. I am hunting in west texas and want to make it a successful one. I am heading to Iraq the first part of december, and I might not get to hunt next year. I would appreciate all the help I could get.
